Reflection from my

trail walk in Japan

Published in November 2022 by Susann Naomi Israel

Three weeks ago, Oirase Gorge, a deeply beautiful Japanese river valley from lake Towada towards the Pacific Ocean, presented itself during a misty day in its early autumn colors.

These stunning views emerged from taking a very ‘slow’ and reflective look at what was going on. Doing so, allowed these wild, complex, sharp structures to evolve into something truly emotional, soft, smooth, lovable indeed.

My wish is that we treat complex challenges in our organisations just this way. Listening deeply, allowing sufficient reflective time, letting solutions evolve, and considering all available diverse views and perspectives, above and below the surface.
